The episode starts out at church where Chandler is the pastor. Roxanne walks in and the Camdens wonder why she is there. Lucy thinks it's just because she likes Chandler. Chandler and Roxanne then smile at each other. After the sermon, Roxanne goes up to Chandler and says she has questions about his sermon. Many other girls come up to him and flirt. Roxanne and Chandler then go to the Prominote.

     Cecilia and Simon are walking around and talking about when the right time to tell their parents is. We later learn that they are going to tell their parents that they want to have sex.

     Ruthie's friend comes over and asks Eric why he wasn't at church. Eric says that he didn't feel ready to go back to church. Ruthie has a lot of homework and her friend decides to help her. They work on a volcano project and it explodes. He tells Ruthie that she should have done her homework on Saturday like he did. Ruthie tells him that she had to get the supplies for the project yesterday and that she also went riding on her horse.

     Lucy is mad that Chandler and Roxanne are going somewhere together. She asks Kevin to go for a walk with her but he refuses because he wants to watch a football game. He also suspects that Lucy wants to spy on Chandler and Roxanne and reminds her of her New Year's resolution (it was to be more concentrated on their own relationship instead of other peoples). Lucy then asks Eric to go for a walk but he also says that he is watching a football game (he is watching it with Kevin). She goes around asking if Ruthie and Annie can go on a walk with her. They both can't (Ruthie has homework and Annie is working). Lucy becomes angry because Sunday is a day for family and resting.

     Annie is fed up with Eric because he has spent all his time writing a novel instead of a sermon. Eric says that he doesn't want to go back to the church. Through out the episode Annie is reading the novel.

     Roxanne is happy that Chandler came to the Prominote with her. She asks him if he believes in sex before marriage. He stutters and doesn't answer.

     Simon and Cecilia decide to tell her parents first. While telling Cecilia's father he gets really angry and Cecilia tells Simon to run. Her father later comes over to the Camdens and tells Eric and Annie that Simon better stay away from Cecilia. Eric and Annie are surprised.

     Lucy goes to the church and Kevin shows up later. She tells Kevin that she wishes that she was standing in the pulpit nstead of Chandler. Chandler overhears and asks Lucy if she will do the Sunday night service. She agrees but when she gets home, she panics. Eric says that he is not going to come to the service. Annie gets mad. Lucy ends up doing her sermon on Sundays and how it used to be a day of rest and family but turned into a day of entertainment. Eric peeks in the door of the church and hears Lucy's sermon. You can tell that he is proud of her and so is the rest of the Camden family.
